Let’s hear it for digital development

Projects: Hear Glasgow; National Museums Scotland

Throughout the past year, Dianne Greig has been at the forefront of a digital revolution at Culture Sparks. we’ve been working with the team at Hear Glasgow! to assist children and young people in Glasgow to have the best possible range of opportunities to engage in music making, in formal education as well as through other opportunities and self-directed activities. Our main focus has been to provide expertise and support to create a diverse and engaged online community through the Hear Glasgow! website and social media channels.

“Due to the commitment of Dianne and Albert and all the supporting staff at Culture Sparks, Hear Glasgow! has been allowed to grow in stature both in a branding front an on a social media front. Their commitment to and understanding of the project knows no bounds and … their enthusiasm is contagious. The amount of hits on the Hear Glasgow! website, twitter and facebook has grown tremendously due to their very focussed commitment to the project, and the knock-on effect for our activity has been tremendous.”
Carol Laula, Hear Glasgow Project Co-ordinator

Meanwhile, National Museums Scotland commissioned Culture Sparks to help them to understand the ways in which their young audiences engage with digital technology, and the impact that this might have on their experience of arts and culture.
