Projects: Celtic Connections
For many arts and festival organisations, economic impact is an important measure of success and a key performance indicator in their year-end reporting.
Celtic Connections is Scotland’s premier winter music festival. Now in its 19th year, it takes place in Glasgow and brings together over 300 folk, roots and world music events over 18 days of ceilidhs, talks, exhibitions and workshops, celebrating Celtic music and its connections to cultures across the globe.
We’ve worked with Glasgow’s Celtic Connections festival for several years, carrying out face-to-face research amongst their audiences and participants to help them benchmark and measure their impact on the local and regional economy. This year, we continued to support them in this way, interviewing a representative sample of their visitors and weighting findings to calculate the overall economic contribution of the festival.
